IGC Fashion (Ibrahim & Godfrey’s Community) is a creative social enterprise working at the intersection of education, communitarianism and environmental justice through indigenous fashion and textiles.

Rooted in Uganda but reaching globally, our mission is to create a different model of fashion - one connected to the earth and ancestral knowledge systems. A model that neither harms bodies nor the planet; that seeks to rectify global inequalities and empower local communities.
“Creating synergies between indigenous knowledge and modern innovation in design, art and fashion.”

As a fashion label, we create garments which are living sculptures and mediums for cultural expression, education and escapism. Beyond this, we run education programmes, create platforms and art for advocacy, cultural preservation, and support of the local creative economy in Uganda, which is undervalued and under-supported. Simply put, IGC is rooted in culture, centred on climate and powered by community.
