ALTERNATIVE REALITIES

In collaboration with Guzangs and Steel Plant Studios & Gallery, IGC showcased two costumes from the Gugumuka collection in Alternative Realities. The exhibition, titled 'Modern and Contemporary African Fashion - A View from the Continent' was hosted at Marist College in New York. Exploring African fashion through the lens of 14 acclaimed designers, the exhibit aimed to rectify the often misunderstood and undervalued scope of fashion from the continent. IGC also participated in the panel talk alongside Hertunba, engaging students of Marist College in dialogue about the global impact of African design.
